A Way to Die:

Living to the End

By Victor and Rosemary Zorza

A Way to Die: Living to the End, describes the life-affirming hospice experience of the Zorzas' daughter Jane, who died at age 25 of melanoma in a British hospice.  Published in 1980 and translated into many languages, the book helped give international force to the then still emerging hospice movement.

In January 2000, a few days prior to her own death, Rosemary (Zorza) Varney added the following note:

"Nothing can restore Jane to us, but a consolation for me is that twenty-three years on,
our account still brings out the love, care and vaue of hospice work, to the dying and also to their survivors."

Victor Zorza died in March of 1996.  Rosemary (Zorza) Varney died on January 31, 2000.
